Anyone have a good technique for rolling these? They seem to turn into a sh*tshow in my rig bag.
Here is a video that describes how to roll a cam strap. It takes time to do but gives you a really neat roll.
Enjoy !
“Hitch” the loop straps together at the loops to make one “standard ” strap. Then do the same rolling as cam straps shown/described above; just add extra length to the “pull through” to accommodate the bulk of the loops being hitched together.Pass the tag end through the non-buckle side of the buckle.
pull thru approx a foot of tag.
Find the center of the remaining loop.
Roll the loop on itself.
Once you get to the buckle, take the tag end, wrap it around the rolled loop and use the buckle to secure it.
I have my cam straps marked at the end...that way 1) they show up easy when the tail is hanging loose from teh roller storage and 2) if I cut them, I can mark the new length.I have my straps marked by length next to the cam buckle
