Not to take anything away from Luke Hopkins he is a great paddler but that flow looks really low. It looks like he is jumpin off the rock into the water. Maybe its just the angle. Remember when kayaks were that long and if you were cartwheeling in a hole it's cause you were gettin your ass handed to you. I wonder where SUP could go? I can see people now on these little short boards doing kick flips, shove it's and 720's off water falls. Imagine a whitewater SUP skate style park with rails and ramps. That would be sweet. Its only a matter of time.

the caption says bomb dropping...that is a skate board move where you jump off an object and land on the board...it is sometimes called an acid drop...but with huge sup LSD drp would be the most apropriate. the water was too shallow to run that day. just having fun portaging

Certain rivers lead themselves to being better for river sup...pool drop style is great. Continuous splish splash with swirling current makes for bad video. The super tough river boards (inflatables) can go in shallower water and more pool drop runs where a composite board that surfs well can not really go. The New River on the east coast in pool drop and deep. A composite board could probably pull it off while an inflatable can do it at shallower levels that don't have as much swirling currents.
