I'm on a long range project to run the Colo. Basin including all major tribs, and I might try to get the White River this spring. There isn't much information on the upper stretch, and search engines have trouble figuring out that I want White with a capital W, not white water. If anyone can help me out...

How much is legally runable? There's a lot of private land long the upper reaches but I could run it in long stretches. Is Colorado a state where any navigable river is public, even if the land isn't?

How much is technically runable? It looks to be Class II all the way from Rainbow Lake. I assume there will be the usual low bridges, diversion weirs, etc.

I'd like to put in as high as my boat (SOAR 14') will allow and run all the way to the Green.

Thanks,

Bryan

thanks

The link to the PDF on the White below Rangely is great, just what I'm looking for. But does anyone have beta on the area above Meeker?

That's the problem area. Private land, diversions, etc. Pizzle, what is
"the book?

I've seen the write up in Western Whitewater. Is there a Colorado boating book I can access for more info?

Thanks,

Bryan
