Where have all the super heros gone? There used to be people like Gnary, S. Young and Forrest running around Colorado firing it all up. Now I put a post about the Gorge and no one responds, no one's interested in going. Oh, super heros, where are you in our most desperate hour?

Joe, never fear. The nameless, fearless super heros remain, anonymously running the shit where ever it may be. Mank specialist Tepee Man and I dropped in yesterday. Pine Tree is still jacked, but looked marginally runnable. The blind right hand corner waterfall below Pine Tree has wood in the right side but is good to go. Paddle Snatch should now be run far left up against the wall because there is no water going through the normal slot. Also, with two good looking center right lines off the Zoot we had a 50% piton ratio. Tuck up and git you some.

Also, if you want a comparison, imagine the manky, pinny lead-ins on SSV. Now add to the run the vert, boofs, holes and commitment of Vallecito and finally toss in a 40 footer just to spice it up. Undoubtedly one of the most difficult stretches in CO.

ah well coverboy is in alaska then a grand trip then he is going to north fork payette (maybe we will raft that). just getting him to work for me is hard enough - last trip he ruined our tip - ask him about it sometime!

Mank boy - first off, stop posting to yourself. Your alias is so obvious that I'm embarrassed for you. Second, don't beat around the bush. Just come out and say it... that you're the bad ass, echmm, "super hero" who ran the crystal gorge at 200 cfs. Next, teepee man is still in the Rockies and is ready to fire up the Big South without getting out of his paddle craft, tommorow. I know, you're right that was getting a little ridiculous, bored senseless at work, obviously. Would've been nice to have some more takers though. Can't make BS until the weekend. Was thinking maybe Lake Creek though? As for me being a super hero - I leave that jazz to other people and simply follow their lines. For the record it was 230cfs.

Come on up to Lake - I would be happy to show you down. But come up soon. The water is droppin and below 300 she is not worth it. Maybe they will crank up the pumps one last time and give us a shot of 500 or so this week.

Not sure if it is super hero worthy but we have been runnin no scout laps of the bottom 4 on lake - every day. Missed last night due to family stuff but every night the rest of the this week we will be up there about 4-6 pm. Sat can't due to work and sunday is a mid day run.

I cant make the crystal this week and it looks like that will be the year.
