I'm doing the overnighter and I'm trying to decide on what kind of sleep gear and clothing to take. I live in TN and I've never done an overnighter in CO, so any advice would be great.
Most likely it will be warm at night, like in the 50's. You can get away with light sleeping gear even just a down coat and no shelter if the weather looks good and you sleep in the cave camp at the end of the big portage before the ferry.
800 CFS is a little low but a good level for first timers. Most of my trips in the Black have been at that level, it's creeky and not pushy.
