In case anyone is headed to that part of Utah to raft, starting tomorrow at midnight wood fire restrictions go in to place. You can still use charcoal in a firepan and stoves, but no open wood fires even in a fire pan.

You are correct for overnight trips, and for single day trips not in the Apr.01 - Oct.31 window: Westwater permit requirements

Happy June - due to the hot and dry conditions the fire restriction are about to begin throughout southeastern utah...

The Westwater private stipulations do not require you to carry a fire pan on single day trips between April 1 and October 31. However, overnight trips are required to carry a fire pan throughout the year.
