The "Swimmer BOOM Movement" looks sweet. How does it sound, and can you hear it very well with moving water around you?

I haven't used it on the river personally but two of the guys in my group use it every time they paddle. They say it works very well on the water. We use it at the campsite too and it is plenty loud enough and sounds good. I like it because it is small and easy to pack/wear.
