I have to go boatin'!! I just looked on AW and saw the Verde River is almost 2000 cfs. The pictures on AW looks like it has some good drops.

Where is the put in and take out? Playboat or Creeker? What are the temps like at thanksgiving? AW says 7 miles and class II-IV, is this accurate? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am only interested if there is some whitewater not 6.5 of flat and one 4' drop.

Thanks :D

Nevermind, I have been told this run sucks. :x

2000

If the Verde River is really at 2000 you are in play boat heaven. If you put in at beasley flat which is out of Camp Verde. About a mile below the put in is a really nice hole that it is eddy service good down to 950ish. Verde falls around the corner is the Class 4 the rest of the run has a few good play spots but definately play boat land. Going all the way to Childs is at least 12 miles. There is a 7 mile take out at browns creek I think which if you found beasley flat you continue down that side of the river. The carry out is about a half to 3/4 of a mile. Childs is the normal run and adds a couple rapids. If the water is over 2000 I would reccomend going all the way and one of the last rapids can have some great waves in it. I have paddled the run as low as 500 and as high as 7000. But if it is up you need to jump on it.
