there is wood in No Way Out. We tried to get in there to get some of it out. But it was late and we had to pull the plug on it. There is a static line still attached to a log on river right. Going to retrieve it today, and just maybe saw that log into 3 or 4 pieces.
Two of us we'll be in the area tomorrow. Leaving today, probably go for Vallecito. Mvhyde, thanks for helping the cause. Can we still get around it. I've heard that at 2.6 it was easy to avoid, but not sure at the low level.
Have you done the lower Rockwood? Looking to get in there this weekend, and potentially second gorge Lime. I'm guessing these are the best options for the weekend.
Do you know the status on the Upper Upper Animas? Sounds like there is some action up above Silverton that I would like to check out.
How clogged is South Mineral, and is it still running?
Any beta is much appreciated. Drop me a line if you want to run some shit this weekend and Monday/tuesday. 303-918-7546
lower rockwood is probably runnable, if you canyoneer your way in below the log jam...scout it well, a lot of wood came down this year and I am willing to bet there are some major problems waiting on someone going in there
this morning team 4 corners (phil, drew, scot and myself) got the two logs cut out of no way out (using a hand saw). anyway one is in the riverbed and one is wedged on river right by the dead horse but they should both float tonight.
