I'm in the market for a 16' raft as my 1979 Campways is showing its age. There is a local outfitter selling a one-year old Star Big Dipper for $2000. No patches or heavy wear. No warranty can be transferred. Why is this PVC boat so expensive from NRS at $5400? Also, this used price seems really good compared to what other boats are going for on the Buzz. What am I missing here?

Are you sure it’s not actually an Outlaw? Looks like one and they are a lot cheaper. Although I’m not sure why.

Differences I see are handle placement and size of D Ring patches. Dont think I see handles on the sides and D Rings look more robust. Haven't looked at NRS specs to see if there's a material difference.

Those are definitely built tough. Inside and out tape on all seems, extra thick floor material. I wouldn't mind owning one... That 12'er looks slick

No better than an RMR, price it as if it was a used RMR. Could def be worth 2k.
