Hi Folks,

I'm newbie to the sport and the board. Have a trip planned with some experienced rafters next weekend from Pumphouse to State Bridge. I've got a little rowing experience (down the Salmon last summer), with a 15' foot oar boat.

Have the water levels been dropping or am I better off hitching a ride on another's raft vs. rowing my own boat?

Thanks!

While I agree with Tiggy, the water is moving fast and there are a few holes now out there that deserve some respect. A boat flipped in front of me in Yarmony a couple of weeks ago (if you stay left you can avoid that) and we got knocked around a bit in a little hole to the right of the Needle Eye rock.
All in all it's as fun as it gets, have a good time!
