Hey River Rats, we've received some complaints about use at Two Bridges, so I thought I'd ask for help with the following:
1. Nobody should ever be on the bridge or the driveway that crosses the river. If you see people on the bridge tell them to get off of it. This has been a touchy issue with the adjacent landowners.
2. Keep dogs leashed at State Bridge and Two Bridges. Under no circumstances should you or your dog be on private land across the river at Two Bridges. The adjacent landowners keep livestock. ...and bad things can happen to dogs who harass livestock, you owe it to your dog to keep him out of trouble. I am being dead serious about this. Not kidding. Pass it on. Tell others.
3. Eagle County Open Space has a Ranger and he will be spending considerable time at State Bridge and Two Bridges, especially on the weekends. Be nice to him, help him out, be cool, we want him to like his job.
4. We hope to have the sand from the high runoff dredged shortly.
5. Please load an unload quickly, have your friends move away from the ramp if they aren't directly involved in loading boats.
6. Outfitters should not be storing stuff at either facility as a matter of course.
7. We are working to get the phones at State Bridge and Two Bridges repaired, but in the meantime Colorado River Center has kindly hooked up temporary units. They can only be used for local calls or with a calling card.
8. Use the restrooms, we put them in for a reason!
All for now,
Call me with questions, of course, 970-471-6776.
