Twin Lakes to Arkansas

Hey all,
Just sent this out for you Arkansas folks!

We've seen inflows back off slightly for Lake Creek into Twin Lakes. As a result, today we curtailed releases by 50 cfs.

The current release from Twin Lakes to Lake Creek and the Arkansas River is now 1310 cfs. That is almost all native runoff water.

Meanwhile, Lake Fork Creek below Turquoise Reservoir is still running at about 147 cfs.

Both reservoirs are rising and are anticipated to get fairly high this year.

PLEASE STAY SAFE!
Best,
Kara

Thanks for the update Kara, I was up on Cottonwood Pass yesterday thinking we had probably passed peak runoff. There is still a ton of snow up high, but its disappearing fast.

Great to hear the reservoirs are going to fill back up, they were drained pretty low prior to snowmelt.
