Dear Buzzards,
I acquired Mountain Buzz over a decade ago. I'm proud to have been part of the Buzz for such a long time. This is a great site and everyone who contributes should be proud of our community.
As the years have passed I've started to focus on running websites that are specific to the RVing industry (travel trailers, motorhomes, etc). This past summer I realized that I needed to focus my energy on those sites. I decided to sell a group of websites I owned (including Mountain Buzz) to VerticalScope. They manage forum communities the same way as I do where they have a community manager who works with members (Mods) to deal with issues. I've known these guys for a long time, they are a stand up bunch and it will be business as usual moving forward.
From a forum members perspective this change should be seamless. Nothing is changing, the site will continue to run on the same platform we have been on for years. They invests heavily on servers so the site will mostly likely get faster. They also have an amazing mobile skin so interacting from a mobile browser should improve.
The Buzz is a very special place. I’m most proud of our team, the "Buzz Krew". They are excellent at letting discussions rage on until someone goes way too far. They know that smack talking is fun but they also have a pulse for when it's over the line. The Buzz Krew will remain the same so the management of the community will remain the same.
Please welcome Philip and the VerticalScope team to our community.
Kind Regards,
Andy R
