The Eagle Whitewater Park needs your help!

The community's goal for the Eagle Whitewater Park is to create a world-class amenity for residents and visitors. Key to this desired outcome is having unique and extraordinary in-stream features. In order to achieve this, the original vision was to build four (4) adjustable features using Rapidblocs (RapidBlocs whitewater obstacle system).

Currently, the Town of Eagle does not plan to fund the installation of the Rapidbloc systems for features 1 and 2 of the whitewater park being constructed this fall (2018). Instead, the town has asked that local river users raise the roughly $150,000 necessary for the Rapidblocs.

There's a group of local river users that believes the funding for the Rapidblocs needs to come from the $5.9 million that the community has already raised for the project. This group has put together a petition requesting that the Town of Eagle do so.

It does. The intent all along has been to have four (4) adjustable features. The Rapidbloc systems were shown for all four (4) features on the design drawings submitted to and approved by the ArmyCorps.

Rapidbloc systems were installed for features 3 and 4 (the intermediate/beginner features) that were constructed this past winter. Trying to get funds allocated to fund Rapidbloc systems for features 1 and 2 (the advanced/expert features).
