Hi! I know we're all primarily boaters. But, I also know that many of us switch over to skiing in the backcountry for winter. With that said, I'd like to invite all of you to the Backcountry Bash to support the Backcountry Snowsports Alliance!

The BSA Backcountry Bash is only a day away! You are cordially invited to the 14th Annual Backcountry Bash on Friday, December 1st at the REI Flagship store in Denver . The event runs from 6:30 to 10:30 pm, features music by Mando Lounge, food from Whole Foods Catering and beer from Avery Brewing.

Here are some highlights of the Backcountry Bash:

Backcountry skiing in Colorado, the Selkirks and Europe - A slide show by the BSA's newest board member, Rich Cook

Our famous live and silent auctions featuring hut stays, telemark skis, AT gear, massages, Avy courses and lots of sweet winter gear. For a complete list of auction items, follow this link: http://www.backcountryalliance.org/fundraisers/2006-donars.php

In addition to the auctions, you can purchase a chance to win a pair of K2 Work Stinx or Dawn Patrol skis.

Enter your best winter photo in the photo contest for a chance to win great prizes. For information about photo contest rules, follow this link: http://www.backcountryalliance.org/fundraisers/index.php

The Backcountry Bash raises awareness for the Backcountry Snowsports Alliance and is our most important fundraising event of the year. The funds we raise provide critical resources that allow us to keep our public lands quiet, safe and fume free for YOU! Do your part to strengthen our voice by attending the Backcountry Bash and bring a couple of friends with you!

Tickets cost $25 ($30 at the door) and can be purchased at http://www.backcountryalliance.org/act/donations.php, REI in Denver and Boulder or by calling 303-494-5266.

If you can't come to the event, do your part by becoming a member or renewing your membership with the Backcountry Snowsports Alliance at http://www.backcountryalliance.org/act/donations.php. If you use the winter backcountry, then you are already using the services provided by the BSA - DO YOUR PART, SUPPORT THE CAUSE.

Thanks for your support and hope to see you there!!
