First off... I want to make sure everyone that attended last night understands that we are very thankful and plan to build you all a great feature to paddle all the way through October!!!

Special thanks really needs to go out to Oskar Blues and also to the whole CU paddle club. Oskars has kick ass beer, but I never would have imagined the quality of food for a "all you can eat banquet".... The food was AMAZING. And then to the CU club...these guys and gals were really helpful and really helped out with so much of the odds and ends that are required to make a party for 200 people go well.

Matt Booth, Arn and Scott also did a great job and this hole will be a testament to their dedication to keep this project going full speed at all times. There are several others on the committee that all did a ton of work and everyone did a great job.

Here is something that every Buzz'erd should know in regards to dedication... A regular joe here on the buzz "Red Beard" was willing to shave his... well red beard, of over 10 years growth for raising additional funds. Very important to note... his wife had never even seen him clean shaven and he decided at the party that if it meant more money towards to feature... then he was up for it. His beard is no joke! The damn thing is like 6 or 8 inches long!

Well the short story is that we didn't have time to do the auction of his beard and shave it as the gear auction needed to start, but that is great example of the type of people we have to be thankful for in this community. Because of people like Redbeard and many other people who ended up paying more than retail in some instances we have generated a tremendous amount of money towards the cause. Tonight we will do a final dollar count. What we needed was 15K to get the feature done. The feature needs to be underway by the 6th of April and complete by the 15th of April, so we are on a tight timeline. Early estimates are that we are close, but probably still off by a few grand.

Several folks have indicated to me that they wanted to send in cash donations because they were not able to make the party. If anyone wants to donate cash, please send me a note here through buzz and I will give you the name of the non profit and the address of where to send it to.

Thanks again to everyone... That was a hell of a time!
