Has anyone seen or heard of the new bladder system in the whitewater park in the heart of Vail. Its making a huge wave, no pun intended...

It should really bump up the level of competition at the Teva Mountain Games this year. June 5-8 in Vail, Colorado

lets hope it doesn't scare to many of you off !..

2008 Teva Mountain Games ... return to Vail Colorado June 5 - 8, 2008. Professional and amateur outdoor adventure athletes will converge upon the mountains and rivers of Vail to compete in seven different sports and ten disciplines.

Hey, I just moved from Maine to Vail in Nov. Wondering if the park runs all spring or just for the games? Can't wait to hit it up.

The park is right through the heart of town on Gore Creek at base of mountain, it will run as long as there is snow still melting.

Una Pregunta

Will the bladder system be in effect at all times - IE: will there be someone / some way to adjust it based on changing flow levels - or will it only be in use for the athletes at the Mountain Games?

I ask because after witnessing the fickle nature of these systems first hand, if it is not consistently monitored and adjusted the wave can turn into quite a retentive hole as well.

Definitely stoked y'all took the initiative to take this challenge on and looking forward to seeing the beast from the East crush the rest from the West again this summer

Peace

Adjusted by levels

From what I've been told they have a computer that measures the CFS hooked up to it. They have the capability of changing the p.s.i. based on the flow. They will be gauging it and taking feedback to find the best pressure setting for the different flows. Its not going to change at every 10 or 20 cfs change but more like a 100-200cfs +/- in flow.
We'll see. Sounds sweet.
