Ladies and Gentlemen

It is my great pleasure to announce that Team Riot will be teaching a creeking clinic on June 8 and 11, 2007. That is the friday and monday around the Lyons Whitewater festival. These clinics are open to anyone, and will have a student-instructor ratio of at most 4:1. The clinic is all day, 10-4, and will cost 60 dollars per person, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the festival.

The location is yet to be determined, but will most likely be on a section of the St. Vrain. We will determine which sections depending on the skill levels of the students. There will likely be two different groups of different skill levels. The classes will cover everything a creek boater needs to know, including but not limited to scouting, strokes, safety, equipment, and fitness. Instructors will be Team Riot members David Finney, Cooper Lambla, and Nathan Silsbee.

Contact David at [email protected] to register or with any questions.

Also, and this is the best part, we will be including the Lyons festival on the 2007 Riot Karaoke tour. This is your opportunity to strut your stuff and impress the ladies with your vocal prowess. A collection from the 80's and 90's will be on hand, so bring your A game.

Thats all I got. I'm out.

David, great job putting this together. May I suggest the "Middle" NSV section for your intro to creeking group. First off, it's very short, but has MANY lines through the two V-'s. A couple of those lines are very stout. But what makes it so great is that the scouting is perfect (you can see the entire first rapid from the beginning and the second biggy can be broken into two scouts), there are great spots to gather a group, and the runout is IV- to III.
Great to hear you are doing this, there are many people in Colorado that I know personally that should sign up for this.
I doubt the the bulk of folks that would/should sign up for this would be good to take down the SSV (South St Vrain). This is where the race is, and it's FULL f'n on!

Here is your chance folks for what sounds like some great creek'n lessons. Fire it up!

Yo Finney,

Give me a ring when you get into CO and we will run some stuff. I might be at Lyons, but will prob be working in Salida that weekend. Are you guys going to be at Fibark. If you need a place to crash in Salida, let me know, but we got to run some stuff when you get out here.
