Anybody using a Sweet Rooster for skiing and boating? Just wondering how it is for both. Figure it might be a goiod way to save some money instead of buying 2 new helmets.

Thanks

I'd be interested in any replies too. I love the Rooster for paddling -- but wanted something with ear flaps, and ended up buying a Trooper for all the snow sports. Other than lack of insulation, I don't see why the Rooster wouldn't work -- other than no one guaranteeing it because it hasn't been put through the tests maybe?

I ski with the rooster and love it. It is such a light weight helmet that i barley notice I'm wearing it. I haven't paddled with it yet but i plan to this next summer. So far i have no complaints about the helmet. Oh ya and it does come with detachable ear flaps. I wear them while skiing, helps keep me toasty.

Dang, I got the names all mixed up. Right -- I ski/board with the Rooster, it does have flaps, and is outstanding. The no-earflaps-helmet I was thinking about was the Strutter... sorry for the mixup. Never tried the Trooper.

I just got a Rooster for skiing. Light and low profile. the ear flaps cause a little pressure behind my ears, but overall I am happy. The strutter is baseball cap style paddling helmet. This one will not work with goggles if one was to try and ski with it. Too bad though, as it might be nice for some warm weather sunny spring skiing. !!

Where can you buy this helmet? All of the dealers I know of only have the strutter. Any link or info would be appreciated.

Thanks :D

We have one white Rooster left in stock. It's still price at the 2004 pricing. That's going to be a huge savings over the 2005 price. The Euro keeps kicking the US dollar, and prices are going to go through the roof. Last chase to get one for under $300.
