I have what looks like a pre 2000's Sotar. The tubes are in great shape and definitely Sotar quality (welded seems and such). The floor attachment was glued on and is now failing and on top of that is am extra grey layer also glued on poorly. The fabric looks like grey Vanguard material. I'm guessing this is some retro fit someone tried to do. Just wondering if anyone's seen this before. My instinct is to pull all the grey material off, re-glue the floor attachment, and do a Urethane coating on the bottom on the tubes.

I think that you are opening a can of worms and you are going to find more problems under that mess but good luck

Sotars are great boats but I have to ask, how much $$ do you want to put into a 20+ year old raft?

A few years ago we thought about converting our bucket boat to a self bailer. Did some research on cost and quality of a new floor in an older boat vs. a new boat. Did some shopping and found a great deal and decided to get a new boat. Glad we did.
