Snake River in Hells Canyon 8/17/14 - 8/21/14

We spent 5 days on the Snake in the upper section between Hells Canyon Dam and Pittsburg Landing, with flows ranging from 9000 CFS to 14000 CFS last month. Finally finished my video of the rapids in this section. This video shows every rapid except for China Bar which wasn't a rapid at this water level and Upper Kirby, which due to user error, I didn't get recorded.

Great video! Always wanted to do this run. Some of those laterals (Wild Sheep) remind me of the Main Salmon at high water.

Haven't done a high-volume run in years now - wonder if I still have the chops for it.

Glad you enjoyed. I would love to run this and the MS at high water. That would be a blast....maybe next year.
