Snake campsites below Salmon

Are there many camps below the Salmon confluence? BLM guide only shows a few.

We wanted to take two days from the Salmon to Heller bar, since we don't have a motor and the last camp in the guide is shown 12 miles before Heller.

Water rises at night

Camps are nice and big beaches, one problem is the night release from the power plant upstream. Be prepared for the water to rise quite a bit at night.
Just got off today. Lots of sand beach camps that aren't on the maps below the Salmon. Hot hot hot. No shade at all.

The USFS Snake River guide shows several more than that BLM guide.
We usually stay just one night on the Snake and target Lower Cottonwood to break .Snake Lake in half.
That camp appears very overgrown from the water, but the last few years we've found plenty of tent spaces along the shore
and set up the kitchen and shade fly at the lower end where there is a very deep sturgeon hole to dive into.
I've yet to reach bottom with extreme breath holding attempts.
Got off last week. Did one night at the confluence and last night just above the ranger station. Plenty of sandy beaches shade might be a bigger concern.. I agree with the night tidal flows. Lost a poorley placed tackle box. Took 2 hours of vaguely rowing to go from ranger station to heller
