Used to live in Colorado and I'm headed back there in a week to boat. I bought a Nomad from a guy in Colorado and I'm trying to figure the best (cheapest) way to get it back out to California after the week. I'm flying Frontier so I know they do allow boats although not sure where they stand on creekboats. From old posts it looks like it will be $75 or so. I don't really need the boat immediately when I get back out to California since I have to work the next week.
So is flying and paying for the boat the best option or is it cheaper to ship it some other way? If specs matter it is roughly 8'5" and 45 pounds.
Thanks

Getting a boat on a plane is always a crapshoot. I've shipped via DHL twice, door to door, and it's beena bout $75. that's what i'd suggest.

forward air works pretty good, you'll have to pick it up at their facility near an airport though.

Due to size I would forget about shipping or flying with it. Do the forward air thing. Works like a champ. To get a creek boat on DHL requires 'cheating' the system. If they catch it, they will bill you big time.
