Did the Babine in 2015 with the family, happy to share the name of the shuttle guy we used back then via PM. No idea if hes still running them but did a great job for us and provided invaluable beta. Also got a lot of good info from..

Thanks a lot for the info! Would love to get the shuttle guys contact information - feel free to DM. Any maps/guidebooks that you would recommend checking out? I've just been seeing a few brief trip reports online....

Try Bulkley Valley Taxi and transportation for a shuttle option. Last year they quoted me $500 for a shuttle of up to 7 people. Drive to put-in, drop your stuff and whoever. Drive your vehicles to takeout and they will run you back to the top. It's a long shuttle and remote. River may still be high at that time and camps a little smaller but a fun trip nonetheless.

Hi All,

I'm planning on doing a self-guided Babine June 26th - June 30th. Curious if anyone here would be interested in joining my friend and I? Also has anyone had any luck locking down a shuttle?

Ideally we'd drop a car in Kispiox and grab a shuttle to Lake Nikitkwa. All other beta welcome!
Curious for your trip report on the Babine at this time of year!

Matt, due to lockdowns the last two years we stayed up here for our summer raft trips instead of our usual Idaho getaways. Last year we did the Babine from Babine Lake to Hazelton and the year before we did the Chilko from Chilko Lake to Gang Ranch on the Fraser. Happy to answer any questions you may have. DM me and I'll see if i can help you out. Ray
I can't seem to DM you (I think because I'm new here), but I'd love to pick your brain about the Chilko.

Well, like most of you, I once again struck out on permits and am looking for other options. Has anyone done a self guided Babine Trip? We live in NW washington and would plan to drive to Smithers and depart from there. Specifically looking for if anyone had any input into raft rental outfits and possible shuttles? From my hour or so of research doesn't look like there is much in the way of easy logistics. Same question for the Chilk/Chilcotin run. Our crew has a good bit of experience on SW, PNW and AK rivers but would also be open to have someone else tag along if there was interest. Best, Matt
Did you end up running the Babine River? We are contemplating running it again mid September 2023. We have friends in Smithers that run shuttle for us. Let me know if you want in. Cheers
