I was thinking about a little play Sunday, Mar. 26 --

What is Salida like right now?
I've never paddled there, only watched pros throw down at FIBArk. Is there enough water to have much fun right now? I see 524 at Wellsville and 338 at Granite, so the Salida flow must be somehwere in between that?

Thanks for any help.

Well, yes, ...
That's the reading I already had seen -- the Wellsville guage.
But that doesn't really tell me what the hole is like and what you can do in it at the current flow.
Thanks, though.

There have been people paddling in both holes all day today. The flow I would guess just by visually looking at the river is just under 500 cfs. You can cartwheel, spin, and probably loop if you are soft with it. Probably the best play in the state right now. Have fun if you come.

The hole looks good. I still have snow on my mind, but there were about four paddlers in the hole today.

I rebooted the "hole cam" computer, hopefully that'll fix it. Next time you notice it broken please let me know. I'm leaving town for a few days, so if it's still not working I'll fix it then.

tom.

PS. While the cam is coming up, here are some pics, 10 minutes old (also on gallery):

That's right. CRMS is in the house.
We had a nice day there. Thanks for the Beta Mr Harvey. Great paddling with you.
