I'm a novice rafter--approx. 50 hrs of instruction in whitewater. As we get deeper into the summer, does the Roaring Fork from Carbondale to GS become easier to raft or, as the water drops, does it become more difficult? Is it primarily Type I and II water? Can you recommend other Colorado rivers that are good for novices August through October? Thanks alot.

low and boney but fun, you should do grizzly to 2 rivers or grizzlt to south canyon. Nothing big on it but a nice float with some splashes now

I plan on taking the 3.5 year old down this next weekend. I just hope that I do not flip and end up on the buzz being called a d-bag.

It's easy peasy. As blake would say: "it's go time"
