I'm looking for some recommendations for a new boat.
Are there good dual purpose boats out there that will handle both technical creeking and big water down river. Predominantly III & IV and a rare V.
5'7" @ 165lbs.
I will probably demo this coming season and buy late summer or next spring.
Someone recommended the Drago Rossi Mafia. Although I really like the back bulkhead compartment it is a bit pricey @ $1400 and difficult to find. I am currently in a Big EZ It's ok for a first boat (a bit uncomfortable) but not something I want to do much creeking or big water in.

Here's one....

At your size the Diesel 65 would be a dream for what you said you want it for. I'm 150 #'s and I use the 65 to get me down Mann's Creek, WV as well as the Upper Gauley at 18,000cfs. The boat just feels "right" if you know what I mean. The edges are extremely useful yet unobtrusive. Good speed for a 7.5' boat too. Let me know if you have any more ?'s.
