Re Outfitting My Bazooka

So I got a bazooka during their 2013 boats sale and it's a sick boat it's just that the outfitting sucks. Is there anyway I could put a new seat on it or do I just have to make my own with mini cell?

i don't know about re-outfitting it, but i've done a few things that have really helped with mine.

get some of the 1/2"-3/4" peel and stick foam sheets and apply them strategically around the seat and pillar... it helps with the seat wiggle.

Also (and if somebody has a better idea please let me know) i get the backband tightened how i want for paddling then duct/gorilla tape the ratchet and straps in place. trust me having to readjust the backband tension 2-3 times just to make it down lower narrows SUCKS.

I have heard the the newer outfitting is better. Could probably get new outfitting also... but hey then all my excuses are gone.
So this is an old topic but im thinking about it more... I've gotten the outfitting fit pretty well, I just really dont like the backband. Is there anyway to put a backband from lets say a dagger or wavesport?
Yeah, backbands, foot braces, even seats are all surprisingly interchangeable. I recently learned that my friend Dan paddles a remix with a dagger seat, somehow. I would bet that you could slide in any ratchet backband (especially a Liquidlogic one) without changing anything else. For something non-ratcheting, you could probably unbolt the existing ratchets and use the same attachment points to bolt in whatever new system you've got.

So, tell me more about the backband. Is it slipping, or is it just that you don't like how it feels?

Awesome thanks for the tips! I think I will try a LL band. There's nothing "wrong" with the back band it's just a little higher than I prefer!
I know of a couple locals using a jackson band in their fluids and they prefer it over the original.

Really!? Do they still use the ratchet system or do that use the strings
For adjusting it?

I know one is using the strings. I'm guessing the other is as well, I'm tempted to do this myself. I'm not a fan of the ratcheting system in this boat.
