Did you actually look at it?
The reason that it looks like a good seat option to me is its open design. "Soaking wet" looks to be the problem that it eliminates.
UV is the thing I'd worry about. At $35 the cost of entry doesn't seem too crazy.
I row from a low back seat and don't really see how this purple thing would work with that; ifin' I were a cooler/drybox rower, I'd probably have one in the mail. If it didn't work out on the boat I'm sure that I could find another place for it to supper my ass.
