I promised some of you that I would let you know the day that the Poudre was runnable. The narrows anyway. This afternoon I went up and checked it out. It's really borderline. You could run it, and parts would be fun, but you really might not want to quite yet. It depends on how desperate you are. Anyway, my photos on the buzz are mostly of the upper and lower narrows taken on 3/27/08.

What's the earliest that people have ever ran the narrows (and had fun)?

quite a bit higher thats for sure. that wouldn't be kayaking that would be shlicken. at the start of the season we will boat uppers at 0.5ft and at the end we'll boat it until 0.75ft.
