that is a no brainer for me personally because I play 10 to 1. Though it is often easier to borrow/demo playboats than creek boats. That is a question only you can answer because you know what you paddle most. Playing is what is good here and what I can make time for with my kids. but I bet there are just as many if not more that would answer the complete opposite.
don't you want to get back into the swing of things before you start busting out the creeking. Get healthy and STRONG before you start hucking your carcass. so playboat. Then again i really have no idea what I'm talking about.
I'm sure I'll see you around in the next couple of days let me know more info on the movie you want to show,
I really hate to be an ass on mtn buzz, but peter, comon man! Playing is what is good here?????? in Colorado?????? I understand the wife and kids thing, but colorado playboating f-ing sucks. Think Tennessee, WV, Ottwa, Slave, Eugene then buy a playboat. Colorado's creeks are where it's at. But then again...lotsawater is absolutely correct.
you both are being somewhat presumptuous in your assertion that "if he has to ask, then he must be inexperienced on the creek". i'll run the shit with conor any day ... & i'd wager that his ability to pick & stick critical lines is among the best in this state, in spite of his age.
his question is fair, inasmuch as he is a financially challenged teen & he loves both surfing & dropping. cut some slack.
apart from that, i agree with you that the play here pretty much blows.
conor, call mark & tell him your concerns. he'll make sure you're taken care of early season.
Buy a playboat first if you can only get one boat right now.....Why??? Cause you can throw down, run rivers and many creeks in a play boat, while all a creekboat is good for is creeking. Think about this....early season runs will be escalante (hopefully) the upper Taos box, the Embudo, etc.... YOU (being the badass that you are - an no, im not talking shizzle) could run those in a playboat if you wanted to...itd be fun! Also, when you look at current and near future boating options, we're looking mostly at park/n/play ww parks in towns like gunny, salida, durango, steamboat etc..... Yeah, those spots are definitely not Lachines or Skook as above posters have pointed out but its still good early season wet fun. Id just go playboat for the versatility.
And AAron's right. You need to heal. No big drops for you for at least another month, young man!
PS Paddled the ZG last weekend and your gonna love it!
PPS Win the juniors CO Cup for us gunny folks. Reprizizent.
hey u jr little punk arse. u know that the doc said no boatin for a while. so i say no creekin for awhile. remember that all ur back problems are not just from this skiing into a rock incedent, but from creekin too. u know that there is no problem loaning a creeker. get that zg so ur back can get back into shape. i bet that ben and shane still have their mutants, talk to them. but bro think about ur back.
