A kayaker sustained a very nasty cut to her leg below the second wave at Oxford on the South Platte this afternoon while swimming out of her boat under the foot bridge. The object was not identified but it looked like a cut from broken glass. Please be aware that unseen hazards may exist in the river at Oxford.

Yeah, it's on a very urban river corridor; broken glass wouldn't surprise me. After some rain a couple of months ago I picked 2 hypodermic needles off the beach.
