A couple of friends and i are heading to oregon in march to run som class III-IV+ creeks as sort of a good preseason trip. I was wondering if there were any really awesome printed guides out there. any information would be helpful

thanks,

the guide book we used for yesterday was "Soggy Sneakers." It's not as thorough as the Bible (CRCII), but will give general beta and lands you in the correct spot for the putins/takeouts.

You might check out "Paddling Oregon" by Robb Keller, published by Falcon Publishing. You can probably get it on Amazon, or from an Oregon paddle shop. It's very comprehensive (400+ pages) and has a good description of typical flows and season for each river.
