A couple of friends and i are heading to oregon in march to run som class III-IV+ creeks as sort of a good preseason trip. I was wondering if there were any really awesome printed guides out there. any information would be helpful
this may be more oriented to class V, but i haven't really looked at it enough to know. Try oregon Kayaking. It has some grat pics if nothing else: let us know if it is useful. http://www.kayaking.peak.org/index.html
You might check out "Paddling Oregon" by Robb Keller, published by Falcon Publishing. You can probably get it on Amazon, or from an Oregon paddle shop. It's very comprehensive (400+ pages) and has a good description of typical flows and season for each river.
