Perfect time of year. Not too hot, not too cold, especially for hiking the Doll House.

Not as exciting as higher water, but if you've got kayakers coming, it's actually REALLY good playboating at lower flows (6k-9k). The wave at #10 is awesome.

What Storm11 said.

Plus, easy to get permits, few others down there, easy to keep ice, only problem is lake could be up from high spring flows, and a motor recommended(or two or three kayak buddies, single malt and M&Ms on your row boat) to get out.

Anyone done a late season float? If so, what did you think?
Thanks,
Dave
Great time of year to go. Low water is great playboating for the kayakers - espically at #10. A motor is pretty much a requirement though - especially if the winds kick up. Last October, we fought 40-50MPH upstream winds for 30 miles of lake water. The last mile across the open lake was downright scary with massive swells / whitecaps. It would have been absolutely impossible without a motor.
