O my goodness! I'm from Western Maryland so DIB holds a special place in my heart. They dream big over there!

There was a DIB mini snout on here a few years ago for a few stacks...I'm still kicking myself for not buying that.

I was out there in August and met mimi, she gave me a tour of the factory a spent an hour or so chatting with me. I have custom 18' self bailer that's a 2010, they built them for the outdoor show for hatch but sold them to someone else... boats weigh a ton but are the best rubber on the river by far... I get a kick out of the back and forth on here about NRS, Maravia, Wing , ect...
I really want to see the boat Dave took down the canyon this year, I hear it was a bigger version of their recue sled...

I got the chance to row this baby a bit this Spring. It's an '03 Avon Pro that was in remarkable condition.

I'm in the process of having a custom replica of it made now.

They aren't cheap, but WING's new 16 foot boat is basically an updated version of this. Zach from NW Rafting helped with the design. If their warranty were a bit better, (and I came into a sum of money) I would own one.

I took a VERY close look at Zach’s design, and it actually does not resemble the Pro very closely at all. He shortened the waterline a lot, and changed the bow and stern geometry significantly. Its also quite a bit heavier than the Pro. I’m not saying he didn’t design a nice boat, but its not very close to the Pro at all.

Also, the Hyside XT Pro is a much closer match to the Pro than Zach’s design is.

I’ve had both at my shop at the same time and they’re very similar. The 16 XT even has a little SuperPro bow and stern vibe. And on that note, Hyside currently makes a SuperPro, and made two 13’ Explorers.
