Yes, it is true. For the second time in a row someone from Colorado came out and took first place. He edged out about forty utah'ns, winning with a finish time ten seconds faster than the second place finisher on a sixteen minute course.

Wonderful turnout - good to have representation from out of state. Thanks for your help Hobie, We hope you see you here again next year for a repeat. What an awesome street festival afterward.

That was a really fun event. Nice to meet so many paddlers and get into another race before the season ends. I had no idea what to expect but can say it was worth the drive for the weekend.
I would recommend this event for other Colorado boaters to hit next year as it is a fun and fairly mild creek race (compared to some) that many levels of boaters could do. A challange to be fast thru for advanced paddlers but also is at a level that it would be a great place for someones first race. To get thier feet wet so to speak and learn how much fun racing is.
Thanks to Nate for all his efforts here. From what I learned about him he gets the water turned on, gets the prizes and everything else in line to get this race to happen. Like I said, it is a fun event that makes for a great road trip. Thanks for having us over.
