September 27th is the Ogden Utah Downriver Race from 11:00am - 1:00pm. This is a rare recreational release from Pineview Resevoir on a class IV section of the Ogden River.

When we held this event two years ago, Tyson Tittensor came out from Boulder and won first place, relegating all the Utah boaters to the bottom of the award pedestal.

If you're in Utah, you don't want to miss this one. Should make for a memorable day on a river that never runs in the fall.

They will begin ramping up flows at seven in the morning, to peak at 10:30 and hold until one or one-thirty in the afternoon when they will most likely shut off abruptly.

Oh yeah, flow will be about 500 cfs which softens things up on that run but doesn't get too gnarly.

Wait, lemme get this straight. You locals let Tyson beat you? Tyson from the Frontrange? He doesn't even race around here out of sheer terror and he won your race?

It does look like a fun event. I'm working - you guys have fun and please don't let me hear about Hobie holding a Utah trophy!
