Hi All,

I just moved to Longmont and was hoping to get an after work session in tomorrow. I have not been in my boat yet here and was thinking about playing at the October hole. I'm a solid Class III-IV boater and just want to get on the water for a few hours. Where exactly is the October Hole? Or does anyone have any better recommendations for tomorrow evening?

Its like a half mile or less below the A-hole which is right across from the Black Bear Inn as you drive into Lyons proper. If I remember correctly there is an area to park right at the hole, by the welcome to Lyons sign, but you have to be careful not to block truck access or the gravel roadway.

Not sure on the October hole flows right now, maybe a Lyons local can chime in. Big Thompson is running low but pretty close, and Waterton is flowing but a bit more of a drive from Longmont.
