.....walk'd obj yesterday and it was in the 'high" zone...one new log below the big drop....near the bottom of the boat-breaker slide....not the avalanche debris nest slide....one log was tettering above ANKLE BREAKER....some snow patches along the foot path but not enough to keep safety from being set up....it looked runnable but demanding.....fast with juicy holes....i was told by somebody at RMBL that the east river road was opened "officially" yesterday....i also heard that KEBLER pass was opened as well.....the EAST was med-high but not in the brown water zone...playboat action.....daisy probably is snowed in more because of the altitude and shade factor.....the SLATE is a friggin disaster zone!!!major avalanche action.......game on without rickter flows...tons of snow but we;ve gone into freeze cycles again at night....earlier is better until it's on its way down...then afternoons are best....

Boat and Gear Swap at Three Rivers in Almont, Sat. May 28th

Cottonwood Pass is OPEN! The creeks are running great. Daisy may still be a little wet. On your way to creek, stop by the swap at Three Rivers in Almont. We're located right at the mouth of Taylor Canyon.

Have fun huckin,

Parkito

Ran obj on sunday, but the slate and daisy still have snow caves. can't believe the amount of wood that was brought down from the avalanches.

OBJ was good to go top to bottom, portaged the wood that is around the corner after the 80' slide. Wood is definitely shifting around, a big log came down the 80' slide and got hung up river right half way down.

Spent Sunday and Monday in CB.

OBJ is good to go, I'd say a medium high level, but not too stompy. Everything was clean relative to past years. On Monday we were able to drive the first shuttle, instead of hiking. Watch the slate crossing, the line across has changed.

NOTE: At the lip of the second to last slide, one drop below the wood drop below the Avalanche slide, the wood has been moved. We worked with Dru (local guy) on Monday to saw out one of the big logs clogging the lip of that drop (even though it was runnable, but sketchy at the current level). We cut the end off, and then yanked the logs with a truck, which shifted them substatially. It is currently worse now, although Dru expected to be able to get a second cut and clean it out almost completely today. Once it's clean it will be very good to go, but it is most likely a portage now, and definte scout. Huge thanks to Dru since the locals in CB and gunni haven't put much effort in to removing that hazzard in the last 2 years.

East River was good to go.

Have fun up there.

CB Update

How were Daisy and OBJ looking this weekend? The slate gauge looked like flows were dropping quick. Still enough H2O to go?

Thanks in advance!
