I made a pair based on his design (I assume you're talking about the in-line pipe style) but used 1 1/4" pipe and low-pros instead of a speedrail fitting. I'm happy with them, but I chose that style because it was easy for me to DIY, which in turn allowed me to play with the lock height and angle for my set up.
I have exchanged emails with the proprietor and he was very helpful to me, including sending pictures. I think he follows this site so you might hear from him at some point.
I'm a bit biased towards them having lived in Flagstaff for 30 years. They make outstanding quality river gear. I have never had any issue with any of the custom items I have had made. Top quality and thoughtful designs!
Classy reply Tim. Artisan does a ton of work for GC outfitters and their products are bomber. Nick made me a custom dual battery tray for my truck and I'm stoked on it! They are busy boys, so for custom work plan ahead!
