I've always run with the plastic ones, also...first pair lasted 12+ seasons; the last pair, one broke on the first trip. Folks are mentioning same experience w/plastic.

I use them and like them. They are thick and beefy, without additional weight. They will never break...even if you want them to. I have had to make a move with a popped oar, just bracing the oar against the stirrup. Quality

Thanks for the feedback. They sure look sturdy. Ordered 2 days ago. Nice to support small company in my state.

Visit the shop when in Salida. Ray has sooo much cool super tough gear that he has designed himself. Last purchase is the last beer drag bag I'll ever have to buy.
