looking to take pops down something easy today, sun the 8th.

Was thinking wellsville to rincon on the ark, but 246 cfs isnt gonna cut it. We want to get off the familiar gunny town run, i see there is 386 in the NF Gunny below hotchkiss. What is the character at this flow, is it channelized between the gravel bars enough to be ok? Is there a low flow cutoff that people observe?

Thought about the rio g, which has 1100 coming into del norte.....unc is way too low. Any other suggestions?

Thanks mucho

That's a good question Yeti. I have came through the bottom of the Gunny Gorge when the NF was running around 150 and it didn't look like enough water to float a boat.

247 is definitely very low for Rincon, but you can still float the entire stretch with minimal scraping...

Your just as familiar as me with the Wagon Wheel Gap stretch of the Rio G, but I have a friend who rented a raft and floated from South Fork to Del Norte with no experience. No rapids, minimal class II even, but scenic with wildlife.
