We are all victims of the phenomenon known as "new boat lust." How can it be beaten back? Logic tells us that we can find a sweet deal on a lightly used boat for hundreds less than new, and that most of the time there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. Logic also tells us that the shiny new boat we buy today will be scratched and bruised just like a used one within a couple of weeks. If the gear swap posts are any indication, the used market is hopping, so some people are showing restraint. But for how long? Are we all doomed to slap down the big G's on a new boat at some point? I think so, I just can't explain it.
