Im planning on doing Rome to Birch Creek on Wednesday in IK's. I have not done this river before and had a couple questions.
1 - Is 3 days enough to allow to do this trip? We will be traveling light and plan on covering 10-15 miles per day. Is this reasonable?
2 - I know that you are not suppose to take bag toilets on this river, are the ranger very picky about what you take? Im taking a small ammo can, will they require me to have a large one, its just 2 people.
3 - What does the river look like a 2k? Anything to watch out for?
4 - Any suggestions on campsites? I have been looking at my map, but dont have any beta on sites at this flow.
I called the BLM office and they had NO idea what they were talking about, the guy didn't even know what a rocket box was, or if there were minimum side dimensions for a fire pan.
