Skirts...

The Wave Sport Stubby is the same size as most other kayaks on the market. It would be considered a Large or Universal sized cockpit. The LC-1 is one of the more stretchy rubber rand style skirts. If you feel this is too tight for you, you might want to try a skirt with a bungy style rand.

Wildwasser makes a nice bungy skirt. Costs around $95.

Couple suggestions to try first: put the skirt on the boat and leave it there for a couple weeks. Second, when you get to the putin, get the skirt wet before attempting to put it on. I think the rubber looses some of its flexibility over time so randed skirts get harder to put on.

If you do get a new skirt, most (all?) manufacturers have fit guides - e.g. Seals Sprayskirts - Sizing
There used to be another site that listed about every kayak every made with dimensions.
