Beautiful boat! And +2 on valve placement. Their website still shows valves on sides for most models. Question.... is Hyside moving towards bow/stern valve placement or is it something you have to spec out? It was a bonus when I bought my 14xt and my itchy feet are being scratched by a potential purchase of Pro15 or 16xt in the future. Both still show side valves

The valves are in different places on different models. My 16xt came in very recently and it has valves on the side.

Maaan...my main boat is this 13.5. But I'd really love a 16 footer someday.

Love my otter120 and 14xt. But can't get a 16xt out da brain. 2 foot increments, right? I need some backup on this as the wife is way less than convinced

You can run your spare oars pointing whichever way you like. I run mine pointing forward. However, I would shift them back a bit, so there isn't so much blade "out in the wind" (or waves, as it were).

Agreed. I run blade fwd too. The few times I've had to grab the spare I found it quicker to drop in the lock that way. Keep it up close to frame and blade parallelish? to the the tube
