I need to move the seat forward is there a trick?

The screws are loose to slide...do some of them have to come completely out? Does the foam around the hip pads and below the seat need to move?

Thanks,
Christine

You have the creek seat, with the step out wall?
There are 2 screws. One in front of the seat and one behind it. Take these out and you will be able to move the seat. Not a whole lot. But you can move it forward as you like.

Good Luck

Ok,
tried all of that. Do all the screws need to come out? The ones by the hip pads seems like a huge pain if you have to take them all the way out.

I figured out the moving of everything else, the freaking seat won't budge...I thought maybe i was just weak so I even tried a block of wood with some hammer taps...and nothing.

Hey Christine
If you just have the 4 side mount screws loose you'll only get 1/4" of movement (WC knows about that). You'll have to drill new holes in the seat for it to move more. My first nomad I moved the rear seat hole inline to the front hole on the boat (place a screw in it to hold it in place) and then drilled a new hole inline with the rear hole on the boat. I think this was a bit more move than I wanted and would split the difference on my next boat.

Pay close attention to how the hip pads are wrapped with straps. These have to come off to get access to the hole in the seat that will give you access to hold the nuts inplace when you screw the seat back in place.

If you cut the round hole open under the hip pads it is easier to drill, fit your hands inside, and then move the seat forward. The backing on the screws is also a plate that will only allow you to move the seat so far forward without having to cut out the back to slide the plate into place.

You will also have to deal with 1 screw in the center pillar in front of the seat. If you move the seat too far forward there will not be backing for that one. Fabricating and slicing gets interesting.

Nomad = Best creeking boat shape in the world
Nomad = Bad outfitting and even worse plastic

I'll move your seat :D. Perhaps you could post some pictures?

Still easier to mess with than Pyranhas, though.

you may have to cut a hole in the bottom of the boat or maybe one on each side to get this taken care of. i hear dagger plastic is weldable, so your in luck there.

incase whitechocolatte wants a little more,
he's last seen licking crack off the bathroom floor.
riding on 15 inch rims, no hood and blown speakers.
if he didn't spend so much on crack he could afford sneakers!
