Greetings all - Please be advised that the Take Out boat ramp and parking area located on the Moab Daily section of the Colorado River will be closed through March, 2020. Construction will begin on 11/18/19 and the area will be fenced off and therefore not accessible to boaters. The project area will be fenced. Please use alternate locations for river access during this time frame.

The BLM is expanding the upland area as well as both the downstream and upstream access routes and replacing the shade shelter. This project is aimed at improving the congestion and traffic flow at this busy facility (estimated 80,000 boaters annually). This project is funded with user fees from the commercial outfitters and financial contribution from UDOT, a Boating Access Grant and Utah Governor's Office Recreation Grant. It is important to note that Grand County is also a partner with the BLM for completion of this project. Although Take Out will not be available there are other access points for your use during the construction.

- Ida Gulch/ Rocky Rapid is located about 6 miles upstream of Take Out (dirt ramp)

- Sandy Beach (Big Sandy) is located just over 2 river miles upstream of Take Out (sand access, no concrete ramp)

- Big Bend Campground is located about 2 miles downstream of Take Out (one small riffle with mostly calm water no concrete ramp)

- Moab Boat Ramp or the County Dock is located just under 10 miles downstream of Take Out (concrete boat ramp)
