First year in five I won't be coming out to Colorado. Time for you drought stricken Colorado boaters to make a pilgrimage to the Midwest.... Cheap flight or 15 hour drive.
The entire Minnesota north shore is having a once a century flood event. 2 weeks of incredible boating ahead. Road situation will be tenuous. Wood? Who knows. The shore has 30 class IV and v creeks as hyper gnar as you want to get. Every 10-15 miles with (normally) easy access. Lots of slides and falls. Similar in style to crested butte. We usually boat the goods during ice out. Things very, very rarely run in summer.

There was even a polar bear and seals on the loose this am as a another micro creek engulfed the zoo.
The Saint Louis river is run during the summer at 350 cfs (creeky run) It is at 45,000 cfs today. never been this high.
Bittersweet though flood damage to thousands including a lot of boaters.
